Welcome to the SafeMeasure "Book of Triangles".

 

Many of the triangles will be self-explanatory, however an explanation is attached to each. In training sessions, the simplicity of a triangle sketch is appealing, since it requires few words - thus is easy for the student to make notes, and - just as the triangle is a very strong structural form in mechanical engineering, it is a powerful visual image, ideal for making a thought provoking statement.

As noted elswhere, two very useful tools are associated with several of the triangles: the "Hierarchy of Hazard Control" and the "Risk Assessment Matrix" are defined within the Book of Triangles.

As you will note, though this site is ostensibly for the Occupational Health and Safety questioner and practitioner, some of the subject matter strays into the realm of human resources... which is not a bad thing for health and safety considerations...
